Haru Sushi Bar & Restaurant

I think I’m beginning to love Kapitolyo. I was really pleased that my beau and I decided to check out Kapitolyo, Pasig for his birthday as I was looking for a restaurant that we haven’t tried before.

We chanced upon Haru Sushi Bar & Restaurant, and trust me, it was one of the best authentic Japanese restaurants I have ever dined at. Ever.

Chris and I decided to sit by the sushi bar. It was really hard to pick from their menu since there were no pictures supplemented so we had the server guide us which ones are the best-selling dishes.

First we tried their new Ebi Kurimu Maki (Php398.00). It was a deliciously upsized California Maki with salmon and a generous toss of kani (crab meat) and tobiko (flying fish roe).

I fell in love with our second dish, Fried Soft Shell Crab (Php595.00). It was smothered with floss and yummy fried eggplant.

To top everything off, I decided to get something modest as their Crazy Roll (Php198.00), which is basically a simple crunched up California Maki sans tobiko.

All these are served fresh and upon order. The sushi chef was really helpful in letting us taste the best of the best dishes. They even gave a nice complimentary dessert upon learning that it was my love’s birthday. How sweet. <3
