No, I was not one of those who fell in line yesterday at 10 in the morning, outside one of those Nokia stores to get a Nokia c3. Being a privilege account holder has its perks 😉
Upon seeing the poster on Nokia’s Php1,000 off offer, I immediately called up Nokia and asked them to reserve two units for my sisters–one golden white and one pink
While other Nokia stores even had a couple of grey units left by 4pm, the Nokia branch that I had my reservations were already sold out by 11am. As soon as I arrived to claim my units, the Nokia staff even told me that there were only 5 units of golden white that arrived in their branch–thus it’s a more limited version than the pink.
Anyway, so the C3 runs in S40 OS, has wi-fi and is a quad-band phone. The best thing I loved about Nokia C3 is its built in twitter and FB apps. For the price of Php 6,295.00, I really knew it was a steal. We even checked out GH tiangge for the “black market” price, and found that Nokia C3 is sold for Php 6,800.00
The unit did not come with any microSD card nor USB cable though. The box only had the unit, the battery, headset, manuals and a free Smart Sim. I have heard though that some Nokia branches offered free 2GB microSD card for the first 15 customers, while others offered the free microSD card if you activate the Smart Sim. None of those were offered to us upon claiming… but that’s okay, CDR-King is just around the corner anyway.
Priced in a way that it targets the teeners, with its built in social apps, I think Nokia C3 will be one of Nokia’s best-selling units this year.
