Top 5 Thursdays: Cool Weather Skin Essentials

As much as I love the cool weather, I hate what it does to my skin. Cooler weather can dry out your skin making it dull and flaky. Good thing I have these to combat these skin woes.

1) Jane Be Pure Aguaceuticals Sheer Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30

I try not to forget to put on this tinted moisturizer just to give my skin a layer of light moisturizer the colour, coverage, and SPF is just a plus. ๐Ÿ˜‰

2) La Roche-Posay Hydreane BB Creme

In days when I feel my skin is extra dry and needs a little more care, I use this French BB Cream brand to give my skin extra life. La Roche-Posay’s consistency is weightless and non-greasy. Plus, it has SPF20. Perfect for cool in-office days. It’s also hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic.

3) Etude Sweet Recipe Chocolate Highlighter

I like putting this on as my extra step after my blush on since it adds dewiness and glow on my face, which I think is very appropriate for the holiday season.

4) Maybelline ColorSensational Lip Polish

Holiday or Fall/Winter season is the best time to bring out darker lip hues. This year, I’m really loving my Maybelline Lip Lacquer since it’s a lipstick and gloss in one. It doesn’t dry out my lips like most dark lipsticks do. The dark hue is buildable. You can go for semi-sheer or layer it for a bolder look.

5) Nivea Med Protection SPF 15

My favorite lip protection balm for the year, Nivea’s my bestfriend since the cool -ber months started drying out my lips. It moisturizes my lips in one swipe and doesn’t have that annoying greasy, waxy, sticky feeling.

  1. Such nice picks. I haven’t heard of jane cosmetics before, but might as well try it. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m fond of buying online too! ๐Ÿ™‚ Anyway, as for my cool weather essentials, my picks are Tony Moly snail BB cream, tarte blush, wet n wild lipstick and human nature tinted lip balm. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I totally agree with your picks! nivea was my first ever lip balm and after years it’s still one of my essentials! and yay for this season, somehow dark hues are “acceptable now” since people tend to judge you when you use a dark lipstick when it’s daytime, they just see dark lipsticks for late night parties.

  3. Can I just say how addicted I am to Nivea lipbalms lately? My The Face Shop one is about to retire so I’m using the Fruity Shine in Cherry and the one in a tin in Vanilla and Macadamia. Each time I open up either of the two, I am so so so tempted to eat it!
