How have you been? The past week came by so fast and I have nothing to do on a Sunday so I decided to do this tag. Well, I got this from Kim, actually (PS Hi, Kim!) *wink*
I don’t really wear much makeup every day unless I feel like glam-ing things up or I have an important meeting. This is basically a roundup of what I wear/use normally. Without further ado, let’s start with my tools. Yay!
I have so much more brushes hidden in my closet, but I guess these are what I call “my essentials.” First off, my Marionnaud N32 Blush Brush (Php 170.00). This has been my favorite blush brush for years now. You know the feeling when the brush is just perfect for your face? This is just like that. I’ve had so many blush brushes and powder brushes, but this is my ultimate brush.
Since I recently learned how to contour and highlight, I have added Virginia Olsen Angled Blush Brush (Php 450.00) and Virginia Olsen Sculpting Brush (Php 450.00) in the bag.
As for my eye brushes, I love my BH Cosmetics Blending Brush (Php 200.00), Virginia Olsen Blending Brush (Php 350.00), Virginia Olsen Angled Eye Contour Brush (Php 350.00), Virginia Olsen Precision Pencil Brush (Php300.00), Virginia Olsen Short Shader Brush (Php 300.00), and my Marionnaud N9 Angled Liner and Spoolie Brush (Php 120.00).
For my eyes, here’s my Maybelline HyperCurl Volum’Express (Php 300.00), E.L.F. Liners (Php 130.00), Solone Magic Waterproof Eyeliner (Php 290.00), E.L.F. Eye Primer (Php 130.00), and The Body Shop Tea Tree Concealer (Php 500.00). To set my concealer, I use Garnier Pressed Powder in 01 Ivory (Php 200.00)
I fill in my brows using IN2IT Waterproof Eyebrow Kit (Php 300.00). Normally I don’t use much eye colors, but if ever I need to look a little polished, my Maybelline Diamond Glow Eyestudio Quad (Php 500.00) is my go-to palette. Lastly, I curl my lashes using Nichido Eyelash Curler (Php 75.00)
I have gazillion lip products that I switch using daily. For lipsticks, my favorite day-to-day will be Etude House Dear My Jelly Lips Talk in JPK002 Syrupy Strawberry Candy (Php 478.00). I love that it’s sheer and it gives my lips the natural rosy color. The yummy candy scent is just a bonus.
I also love my Nyx Lipstick (Php 150.00) and my Clinique Chubby Stick Intense 05 Plushest Punch (Php 920.00) for important dates. Then usually, I top it off with my E.L.F. lipgloss (Php 130.00).
When I feel that my lips are dry, I normally use The Body Shop Dragon Fruit Lip Butter (Php 250.00). I switch it up from time to time with my Carmex Click Sticks (Php 110.00) and Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm (Php 325.00).
I love my Skindinavia Makeup Finishing Spray (FREE – trial size) since it makes my makeup lasts longer than usual. When I’m expecting to be out and about all day, I make sure to put on my trusted SPF 100 from Aveeno (Php 715.00). I also prime my face with Ladelu’s Witch Hazel Toner (Php 200.00) and Ysabel’s Daughter Facial Serum (Php 900.00).
I normally skip putting on foundation so my face goes bare after the sunscreen or moisturizer. For my blush on, it’s a toss up between these: Revlon Powder Blush 090 Smoky Rose (Php 650.00), Motives Pressed Blush in Lust (Php 795.00), and E.L.F. Blush in Candid Coral (Php 250.00). Then I use Etude House Chocolate Highlighter (Php 778.00) to add dimension.
All of these sums up to a nice and dandy Php11,766.00 (USD 284.00) :-O
Wow. For a person who claims she doesn’t put on much makeup, I realize the irony of “not having too much.” So I guess it’s good that I do not carry all of these in my purse. Or else. Que horror if ever I lose all these!
I lost my purse once in college and I remember how sad it was thinking that my makeup kit went along with it. Actually, that time, the value of my makeup was worth more than the cash in my wallet. Too bad for the snatcher.
Anyways, I enjoy doing this tag and I hope I entertained you in today’s hot Sunday afternoon. Let me know your list by leaving a link of your blog in the comments box below. 🙂
Until next time, dolls!
