Rainy Day Guide: On Peacoats and Capelets

Camel colored Suede Peacoat

I’ve always had a penchant for peacoats and capelets as I prefer these than the plain old jacket. They spell fashion and sophistication when worn. Over the years, I have had my numerous capelet and peacoats, in different cuts and colors.ย Click after the jump to see some of my collection ๐Ÿ™‚ย

These are all inspired by Gossip Girl fashion. But since we are in a tropical country, we get to wear these comfortably during coolย rainy days.

The trick here is all about layering. You have to pick the right inner top, and it has to be long. Turtlenecks are good to be worn underneath these,ย too.

One tip would be, if your peacoat/capelet is patterened, opt for a plain white undershirt. If your peacoat/capelet is plain, you can mix it with printed or bright undershirts.

The most versatile peacoat/capelet would be whites and blue-colored ones. Butย of course, try to experiment with the bright and colorful peacoats for that edgy look.ย ๐Ÿ™‚
