The eternal search of a truly no-budge liner is on. Maybe it’s the extreme heat and humidity this year, but most of my black liquid eyeliners that used to work well as smudge-proof has been giving me the panda eyes–and I hate it!
So I chanced upon this new brand from Thailand called Malissa Kiss and tried their Super Black Ultra HD Eyeliner. I mean, what does an HD eyeliner even mean? Anyway, let’s see if this brand lives up to its name.
It seems budge-proof when I tried it at the counter since it dried quickly when I put a few strokes in my hand. For only Php349.00, I think it was a good buy since this one’s cheaper than most Japanese eyeliner pens that I’m using.
Good thing there’s English translation at the back label. It says also that this one’s made in Korea so that’s a relief as I am still adamant about patronizing China-made cosmetics.
Another thing to like is that this Malissa Kiss Super Black Ultra HD Eyeliner has fiber tips–which I prefer over felt tip pens. Just remember to shake it first before your first application. I panicked a bit when the ink didn’t come out when I first used it on my lids and thought I got a faulty one… until I read the back label that you’d have to shake it first. LoL.
Does it pass the panda-less test? Well I’ve used it two days in a row. The first was during the day when the sun was at its harshest. There were minimal smudging on my upper eyelid and totally none on the lower eyelid. Yup, there wasn’t any panda effect for this brand 🙂
Last Friday night, I also wore this and it stayed put until early in the morning. I guess so far so good. 🙂
I got my Malissa Kiss Super Black Ultra HD Eyeliner at Wellworth Dept. Store in U.P. Town Center. How about you, what’s your HG black eyeliner?
PS, don’t forget to greet your mom a Happy Mother’s Day! <3
