Don’t you just hate wasting time in traffic? I do! So if you’re looking for a practical way of living here in Metro Manila, here’s a modern concept of living, perfect for our growing problem of daily traffic and urban mobility–introducing Space EDSA.
At Space EDSA, you basically rent out a bed for Php4,200-Php4,400.00/mo and enjoy the idea of living closer to your workplace. Here’s how the bunk beds look like:
This redefined dormitory living is located at 167 EDSA Mandaluyong City, at the third floor of Major Homes’ headquarters. At the moment, it has air-conditioned rooms for 4, 6, and 8 people priced at Php4,200++/month for each bed. Spacers can also enjoy the free use of common kitchenette, living and dining areas, free use of the gym 24/7, as well as electricity and water.
Each “spacer” his/her own bed and locked drawer or cabinet for personal things–and that’s about the only personal space you can get. All other things are already shared.
If you are iffy about privacy, take a cue from this bunk bed owner who decided to dress her bed with a curtain for added privacy.
Space EDSA thrives on the notion of Community of Trust, wherein you can provide feedback on your housemates and you can actually vote out a person from staying at Space EDSA. In fact, Space EDSA follows a 3-strike-out rule. So, violate the rules 3 times, then you’re out.
Anyway, here’s a peek on the common areas like the dining area and lounge area:
Shower and toilet area:
And my favorite, their 24h gym:
What’s great about Space EDSA is that they only require 1/2 month deposit and your 1st month payment for you to move in–not bad right? Especially when most condos and bedspacers would require at least a month deposit and a month advance.
Since they need to ensure that you’re living with equally trusting people, Space EDSA requires you to submit your NBI Clearance, 1 government ID, and your school or company ID.
