Being an aromatherapy educator has been one of the most fulfilling hats I've ever worn. 👩🏻‍🏫

I've been teaching aromatherapy since 2018 and have handled both big and small audiences, public and private functions, even in both online and offline setting. These classes have given me the opportunity to connect with people not just in the Philippines, but from all over the world. And in each class, I'm always hopeful to have inspired the students, to ignite something from within and make them want to learn more beyond just blending essential oils.

This year, I have been invited to be part of #Botanica2022 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧'𝙨 𝙍𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙈𝙚𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜.

𝘽𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙖2022 is the leading international conference for clinical aromatherapy and related herbal therapeutics.

Moderated by Dr Timothy Miller, the previous meetings took place at 𝘽𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙖2020 and the Essence of Clinical Aromatherapy Seminar in 2021.

Each meeting welcomes 10 different educators from all over the world to share their perspectives in improving the education standards of aromatherapists worldwide.

All delegates of 𝘽𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙖2022 are invited to join this third session which takes place at the close of the second day of conference (May 21st) at 6.16pm GMT+1--that's May 22 (Sunday), 1am PH time.

Today's guest speaker, Dr. Carmela Caballero, a Brussels-based medical advisor for international cancer research and science communicator, a surgeon, a researcher, and an advocate for transformative and collaborative cancer research, held a very informative webinar that taught us to approach each and every information we gather online with a critical mind—very useful especially to those of you who are taking your aromatherapy certification and/or are onto your case studies and final paper. 📄

Dr. Carmela Caballero (she's also @lourdesmargarita_c's sister!) helped us in understanding the different levels of evidence, understanding scientific news, and also shared with us some tips for us not to fall into the trap of misinformation in science. 👩🏻‍🏫

I decided to cut down my coffee intake right after my accident last year. But I do sometimes miss making my own cup.

There's something about preparing my own cup of coffee that excites me--from choosing my beans for the day, to cleaning my grinder and carefully brushing off the debris, to weighing my beans and water to precision, and mindfully timing it all down for the pour--the mindfulness of the practice grounds me, that is, aside from the gorgeous aroma of the beans that I've chosen for the day.

So for this beautiful Saturday morning, I chose to enjoy Ethiopia Wush Wush from @candidcoffeeph.
