I am suuuuuper excited for my upcoming Hong Kong trip. I have been planning my “to check out” list… let’s see… HK Disney Land, check. Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum, check. Oh, must not forget, Hong Kong Space Museum is definitely one of them! 😉
The last time I went to a planetarium was 15 years ago, as part of our Science class trip… and boy, I loved every bit of it! Though I can’t remember much, I know I’d love to experience it again.
So, I have been checking out HK websites over the weekend so I know how much I should set aside for the admission fees of these musuems.
Sadly, looks like I won’t be able to enjoy HK Space Museum this time:
The Stanley Ho Space Theatre of the Hong Kong Space Museum will be closed for major renovation works from 17 November 2008 to 30 June 2009. During this period, all Space Theatre Shows including Sky Shows and Omnimax Shows will be suspended.
Besides, the foyer toilets on the ground floor will be closed from 6 to 21 Jan 2009 for improvement works of the flushing system. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Please note that the two exhibition halls will continue to open as usual during the above two works projects, and that visitors may be affected by noise arising out of such projects.

The Space Museum is currently in a major re-vamp stage. It’s going to be upgrading its current visual systems to a more Hi-def projectors and cooler seats with 4 different language narrators.
Sounds fun! Prolly I’ll just go for a visit again next year for this 🙂
