Great Overnighter at Red Planet Hotel Ortigas

I recently checked in at Red Planet Hotel (formerly Tunes hotel) in a whim. I needed a reliable internet connection for my first online exam and our internet connection at home has been fuzzy… So I thought of having an overnighter in a hotel to review and take my exams.

Red Planet was fully booked then so I wasn’t able to check in my room until 2pm. The front office was nice enough to give me a higher-floored room since I told him I needed the place to study.

Here’s my double room… and guess what? I got it for only Php1,314.00!

Love the foldable table, btw.

The bathroom was a bit small but it was okay. At least everything’s new and clean. Fresh towels are also delivered upon check-in.

Wifi connection is free (and fast!) but up to 3 devices only. What I love most about Red Planet is that the air-conditioning is cold and really comfortable. I was nicely tucked away from any nuances in my own little quiet space for a night so I had a pretty good time studying and preparing for my exam.

I studied the whole day and took the exam around 7-8ish. Got a 91% so yay! By the way, here’s a nice view from my room on the 12th floor.

If you’re feeling a bit hungry, there’s Crave Burger right near the lobby and fill yourselves with some nicely cooked burgers.

There are no other amenities like pool or gym in Red Planet. But if you’re the type, like me, who doesn’t really need those to raise the price of your room, then Red Planet’s a really great place for you to have your staycation at a really great price.

Did I say you can even get an additional 10% off? Just click this link and use my code.

I stayed before at the Tune Hotel at Davao City. I was a bit confused because of the name change but everything is still the same (rooms and the color of the bldg./logo).

I was satisfied with the room that we’ve got because it is clean, there’s wifi and very affordable. For a budget trip with family and friends, Red Planet Hotel (formerly Tune Hotel) is a good option. Thank you for this post because I was able to discover the name change. 🙂

There is a red planet hotel near our office and it really looked new and clean from afar, even though I haven’t entered one yet. 🙂 I love the foldable table too. What I love the most is the clean CR. 🙂

Do you have an idea if food (bought outside the hotel) is allowed, either bring-in or delivered (i.e. Food Panda)? If yes would they charge corkage fees?

I’d always bring food in, pero sneaky lang. hehe!
