I just finished watching True Blood Season 1 over the weekend and I’m soooo hooked! I love the story! And I wonder, how come there are alot of vampire/werewolf stories coming up these days??? Makes me wonder if they are real. :-O
True Blood is actually based from Charlaine Harris’ Sookie Stackhouse Fiction Series. It is basically about the vampires finally coexisting with us humans. With vampires finally out of their closets (or coffins), and they are “accepted” to live with humans out in the open. Sooke is played by Anna Paquin, the same girl who played Rogue in X-men trilogy.
Although I haven’t read the book, people say that the tv rendition is actually far from the book… (much like with the case of Gossip Girl books vs tv series). A lot also say that the book is better–which makes me watch to buy the books even more!
Anyway, I found the Sookie Stackhouse Books 1-7 set last night in NBS for a Php 2,xxx.00. With the rate of my spending this month and last June (due to all the mid-year sale!)… I don’t think 2 grand would work right now… I have already maxed out my cards. Guess I’d have to postpone this until August–OR UNTIL SOMEONE GIVES IT TO ME AS A GIFT THIS AUGUST *wink wink* 😀
In the last few epipsodes of True Blood, they have already revealed the existence of shapeshifters and mentioned werewolves. A new character was also introduced–the social worker who “saved” Tara–which will probably make some noise in season 2. I already have True Blood season 2’s first few episodes and I can’t wait to check it out this weekend, yay!
