Beauty Poll: CoverGirl Olay Simply Ageless Corrector [ends on Dec 31, 2012]

I’m on a hunt for a new concealer. The one I’m currently using has already been discontinued by the manufacturer πŸ™ I saw Covergirl & Olay’s Simply Ageless corrector earlier and got curious about it. I would just like to know what are your thoughts about this product. Is it nice? What other concealers can you recommend for dark undereyes?

  1. I, personally, haven’t tried that specific product but I haven’t been too impressed with CoverGirl products in general since…forever. Although I have to say, the CoverGirl & Olay Simply Ageless Foundation seems like something I want to try asap because I tested it out a few weeks back and I liked it on me.

Since you’re in the Philippines, thankfully, I recommend trying out the SanSan concealers from HBC! I have one in the shade “Olive” and I love, love, love it! I don’t only have dark circles under my eyes, my eye area entirely is quite dark, at least compared to my fair skin tone and I apply this all over my eyes and it instantly lightens and brightens my eyes and makes me look not only more awake, but…alive. Haha! It also doesn’t dry out my eye area like a lot of other concealers I’ve tried. Of course I use this to cover up any other blemishes I do have and it works just as beautifully.

Actually, if you check out one of my blog entries in reviewing a bb cream ( I used the same concealer around my eyes and on blemishes and you can see the difference yourself! πŸ™‚ Also, it’s only PHP105.00. Talk about affordable!

    Hope I helped!

  2. I haven’t tried Covergirl & Olay’s Simply Ageless corrector yet, but now that you mentioned it and I’m made aware that such beauty product exists, I want to try it coz I’m a huge fan of Olay products!

Right now I’m using my Missha BB cream as dark eye concealer, LOL. Anyway, I’d recommend The Body Shop’s concealer, a lot of ladies swear by it. Another one that I use, it’s not a concealer but works wonders – Human Nature’s sunflower beauty oil! I apply it in the evening and I wake up w/ lighter undereyes, better than having to use concealers. πŸ˜‰

  3. I don’t use concealers anymore. I love the coverage of my BB cream so I don’t think there’s a need for any other product. If REALLY necessary, I use my Laura Mercier concealer.

  4. The concealer I’m using right now is an ELF one. It’s adequate, and since I use BB cream also I don’t need so much of it. Just spot correcting and a little bit more coverage on the undereye area.

I’ve also tried Ellana Minerals, and it works just as well. Neither of these broke me out, and it’s an important distinction for people with sensitive skin.

  5. I’d recommend Body Shop’s Flawless Skin Protecting Concealer (silver). The yellowish shade gives a better discoloration cover up and since this concealer is in a stick form, it’s very easy to apply and won’t be a nuisance in your daily pouch. It lasts really long (for me, just one application daily), after application just blend it with your fingers (or using a tissue), then just make sure to set it with loose powder. Good luck on your concealer hunt!

  6. Hi honestly I haven’t tried this concealer yet but I am using a BB cream from Etude house and it conceals everything :). not just my eye bags but also my pimple scars and it doesn’t clog my pores and it has a moisturizer so for me Its a nice concealer πŸ™‚
