Basix: Dusit Thani Hotel buffet

I don’t know about you but Dusit might be on top of my list from now on. This is the only hotel buffet that I was soooo stuffed that I had a hard time walking on the way to the parking lot to go home! It’s that good.

My family started the buffet at 6pm and left at around 11pm. Oh my. What’s cool about Basix is that the drinks is free-flowing too. You can choose from orange/mango juice, sodas, and wine.

They’ve got a sushi bar, a dimsum bar, a salad bar, etc. The pasta and dimsum bar wasn’t that great. I liked the sushi and salad bar though. Dusit had lambchops and lengua. Overall, the food choices was great as it kept me and my family busy for about 5 hours.

The desserts bar was fab too! I loved that they had crepes and icecreams and custards.

Since we had the Dusit Wine & Dine membership card, we had the buffet for a discounted rate. Normal rate is at Php 1,299 for dinner buffet.

  1. Very disappointed, no sashimi and sushi. This is basic for all buffet. Since you have more than 9000 vouchers sold, why not include these items? Hope you’ll have it right away. If not i’ll be forced to sell my voucher.

  2. @robert, I agree with you. We dined last August 5 for dinner and it was simply disappointing. It cannot be compared even to the local buffets such as Yakimix or Dad’s. There was so sashimi, no dimsum, no oysters. Worse was they went against the terms of the vouchers and excluded wine/beer from voucher holders when it was expressly included during the purchase period.
