I just got this product a couple of days back since I was planning to undergo my annual micropeeling session. I was so happy to find an SPF100 from a local grocery. This bottle sells for Php 715.00. It’s a bit steep compared to being sold for only USD9.00 in the states. 🙁
Anyway, I liked this sunblock because I was looking for a matte/non-greasy product. I hated sunblocks because they tend to be oily, and oily skin is not good during peeling–it might cause breakouts.
I have been using this product for the last 4 days and I love it. I used to use Nivea’s Face Sunblock Moisturizing Cream with SPF 50 and I really find that a bit greasy. So I just use that bottle for swimming instead… or I use Nivea for my neck and Aveeno for my face.
This product is very lightweight. It’s non-comedogenic so it doesn’t clog the pores–which is important while you are peeling. It also has a broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection. Plus Vitamin E to help nourish your baby skin while doing away with deadskin cells during peeling.
Aveeno Continuous Protection Sunblock Lotion with SPF 100 has this mild baby scent that I love, compared to those sunblocks that has this sea scent. It’s really non-sticky and non-greasy when you apply it on. But I like setting it with my mineral foundation to add more SPF.
A good alternative to this is Neutrogena‘s Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 100+ but it’s not yet available locally. This thing sells a dollar higher in the US but does the same thing.
