Annam Noodle Bar Opens in Eastwood

I don’t know about you, but for me, rainy days call for a warm bowl of pho… and what better way to satisfy my cravings than to have a warm bowl of pho from Annam Noodle Bar, which is also the same company as NamNam Noodle Bar in Singapore and Jakarta.

Last Thursday, while the Metro is having a schizo weather, I went ahead to try Annam Noodle Bar in Eastwood.

I started my dinner with their Green Papaya Salad (Php250.00), which was quite unique as most Vietnamese restos I’ve been in Manila only offer pomelo shrimp salad–love the strips of beef jerky on this salad, btw.

I got the classic pho Australian beef steak  slices (Php320.00). I loved how I instantly felt my bowl’s presence as the aroma of my hot pho slowly wafted through the air.

For drinks, I went with their Tamarind Cinnamon drink and their unique blend of sweet iced tea.

I decided to get the Fried Catfish with Spices (Php230.00) Bahn Mi, which is a toasted baguette filled with my favorite catfish, cilantro, and other spices. Do take note that this one’s not for those who can’t handle spicy food. >,<

I super enjoyed my bowl of pho that I ordered additional toppings–yes to more meat balls (Php100.00) and wagyu beef slices (Php250.00)!

For dessert, I ordered their vanilla pudding (Php150.00), which tastes similar to a creme brulee, only served in Viet style. 😉

The restaurant was packed even on a rainy Thursday night.

Oh, and did I tell you that you can buy Annam’s pho noodles plus their own blend of Hoisin sauce, fish sauce, and chili sauce (or Sriracha) right at the store?

Yup, you can bring home Annam’s pho goodness and have yourself a home cooked version any time!

I’m so glad Annam opened their doors in Manila. This is definitely my new my favorite rainy day stop! <3
