I wasn’t able to resist Alcatel’s charms. After a week of using LG A190, I couldn’t help but check out Alcatel’s stall and bring home their basic dual-sim phone.
I finally got an OT-255D instead of OT-355D. The only difference is that the latter has VGA camera. Since I don’t make use of my phone’s cameras anyway, I opted for the cheaper dual-sim handphone.
OT255D is priced at Php1,199.00, with all the basic features plus FM radio. What I liked about this unit is that it’s fully customizable. You can send directly from sim 1 or sim 2 and call from either sim 1 or sim 2. I wasn’t able to do that with my LG A190…or maybe I just don’t know how.
Nevertheless, navigation is easy and you don’t have to press much buttons to check out a message or even send one–which is my number one complaint in my LG phone.
It’s also a plus that the phone is offered cheaper than most of its competitors. For a qwerty handphone, this is actually very affordable… nevermind its calculator-like appearance. It’s good for its purpose anyway.
I decided to keep my LG A190 and used this instead. 🙂
